Overview

Ēji Vyof-æ̈ngso was founded durring the early 13th century in spring of the year 1244, by Ghrubik vyim Yuvnoyutsɪxt. The establishment of Ēji Vyof-æ̈ngso suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Ēji Vyof-æ̈ngso was built using the conventions of Gnollish durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ēji Vyof-æ̈ngso is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Ēji Vyof-æ̈ngso is buildings are located arround a single restrictive gravel mainstreet which forms a clockwise spiral to give the city a over all circular shape. The city posesses a mighty albit amaturly crafted stone wall. It was built using querried stone blocks and posesses all of the standard defencive features, including a few watch towers. While it would last against a siege, the wall's outdated and simplistic construction method percludes the possability of Ēji Vyof-æ̈ngso weathering a full scale bombardment durring a siege. The budget focused millitary grade defenses has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.

Right off the bat Ēji Vyof-æ̈ngso hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this city has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. The new wealth has created some worrying attitudes in many passers by, such that it’s clear new laws have recently been enacted and enforced with such extreme scrutiny the locals seem to be going about their day as if by clockwork.

Cultural Notes

Ēji Vyof-æ̈ngso is led by one or more incompetents. While they must have been very good at something to have acquired the position, they are fundamentally incapable of leading. Uncontrolled passions or lusts, commitment to a hopelessly impractical ideal, pigheaded obstinacy in the face of failure, a total lack of charisma or interpersonal skills, or profound laziness might all unfit them for their post.

Ēji Vyof-æ̈ngso's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used makes use of a large oblong hall or building with double colonnades and a semicircular apse and symmetrical central-plan, resulting in buildings with a square central mass and four arms of equal length. Decorative features included domed rooves, arches, soaring spaces, and sumptuous decoration: marble columns and inlay, mosaics on the vaults, inlaid-stone pavements, and sometimes gold coffered ceilings.

In Ēji Vyof-æ̈ngso grains of dust blow into perfectly neat rows.

The Spider, Scarlet (Tiny) near Ēji Vyof-æ̈ngso are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Ēji Vyof-æ̈ngso's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves creating small tokens to channel Conjuration energies of tier 3 via throat singing.
